It's been 20 years since the Chernobyl disaster. I have always had a strange facination with the whole thing. I think it goes back to when I was in 3rd grade, and we watched this tv movie about it. I remember being really into it, and being really freaked out. The only image from the movie I remember is of a fire fighter puking. We thought it was funny at the time.
My interest was jump started again when i came across this page. It's about this woman named Elena who rode her motorbike through Chernobyl and the surrounding areas. I still don't know why she risked her health for it, but I love her for it. She took tons of pictures and it's really a haunting webpage to look at. It the past month their have been many stories written about it and many tv specials, and I have read and seen pretty much all of them. Some people are Civil War buffs. I'm a Chernobyl buff.
