    was that the weekend?

I don't remember my weekend as a whole. But here is what I remember.

    Saturday
After spending all of Friday on the internet ranting and raving on the Dodgerboard about the trade. I learn on Saturday morning that we also made a deal for Steve Finley. After all the trade drama of Friday we had kept Jason Werth. That was all that I asked for. This kid has a great future and I want to see him in left field in a Dodgers Uni for sure. Werth was the name that was reported as going but it turns out that we got Fins for a couple of minor leaguers. So we kept Jason Werth and zona wanted Edwin Jackson too. Hell Naw. Depodesta knows better than that. I'm the biggest fan of the trade but I can see where Depo is coming from. We are still winning so I can't complain.

For the nightcap Taylor and I went to check out Louis XIV at the Belly Up. I've said it once and I'll say it again. Louis XIV are the best local band by far. They already have a sound and look and need to be signed right away. Wish I owned a label. I probably wouldn't do very good though cause a) I don't have the right mindset for business b) just cause I like it, doesn't mean other will. Anyway's the show was great. I got to catch Dirty Sweet as I missed them when they opened for the Von Bondies last month. My aplogies to the Emery Byrd. They had the Dodger game on the tv's in the back and it was a 2-2 game. Gets me everytime. Sorry guys. The other band that played was Buckfast Superbee. They have been around SD for a while and are pretty polished. But they are pop-punk so I really don't have to say anything. They should of renamed the concert to: Which of these bands doesn't belong?

    Sunday
Sunday...sunday...I don't remember much about Sunday. I remember somthing about a 3 am sack hookie and a crater bowl and then passing out at 4:30 Monday morning. Actually Sunday was spend working a nice 9-3 with a nice hangover to accompany me. I got off just in time to see Robin Ventura hit a game winning home run against the Pads in the 12th inning. It won the game, the series (Thats 8-4 on the seasonTrev) and a sick pack from disgruntled Padres fan Trevor who still will not admit that we are good.

So that was the weekend. Too much trade drama and too much booze. And now I find myself in front of the comp (somewhat) broke with a Highlife bobbing my head to The Distillers. Can't complain. Except for the broke part.
