Sometimes I wished I lived in Oregon

I ready for the cooler season already. This summer I've had less tolerance for the sun. Probably because I'm out in it all day during work that on my day off I just want to stay away. Not having a car in this state is like not having legs. You might aswell chop them off. I missed the New Porngraphers at Lou's for a free show becuase of my missing legs. But I did purchase Decemberist tickets for next month at the Henry Fonda. So it will all work out.

I've been going to college for what seems like forever (no wait...it has been forever) and I thought I knew and saw everything about Palomar. I know where to park for free, the best bathroom to go...you know, and just about every other short cut there is. But I have never seen anything like what happened on the first day of my cinema class. A mother was arrested in the beginning of class. Before the teacher could even speak, this mom was raving about the school not letting her 10 year old take the class. That's right, not a 15 year old, or 12 year genius child. But a little 10 year old kid. Who apparently has seen hundreds of movies already according to his mom. Many of them rated R. Is child services listening? Anyways, it was craziness. She refused to leave the class to talk to the dean. Her kid was crying and she was acting like Martin Luther King at a sit-in in the 60's. I feel really sorry for the kid. It was a surreal.
