I don't even know what to call this...

First and formost, my thoughts are with everyone in New Orleans and everyone who has been affected by Katrina. It's hard enough to watch everything on television, but this slow response by our government and everybody else around American is sickening. How we didn't have buses, troops, and water down there hours after Katrina died down is unbelieveable. It's wierd hearing the word refugee and America in the same sentence. It is unexcusable that we are the richest country in the world, and we don't have any control in NO, or enough food and supplies to hand out. When things like this happen everyone wants somthing to blame for it. Their are too many things and people to blame. FEMA (the governments disaster dept.) doesn't know what to do, New Orleans officials who have been trying to get aid for this exact thing have gotten nothing back from the government.

I hate to even talk about politcs in a time like this, but this cannot not be ignored. Let's do a run down of what our Administration officials are doing. (from DailyKOS)

Bush: Was playing guitar here in San Diego with some country stars on Tuesday. The hurricane hit on Monday. He flew by on Air Force One and didn't even get on the ground. Oh and made a pit stop in Crawford for a night

Condi: Rice had to cut her vacation short YESTERDAY! She was seen shoe shopping and going to shows for the past few days.

    Tricky Dick: STILL ON VACATION!

President Bush has said in the past that he thinks about Iraq every single day. Like he has to clarify that he does think about it everyday. I hope he is thinking about NO and how everyone is dying. Fuck. This is so hard to think about and watch on television. Their are so many things to talk about. Sociological, political, economic, etc. This should be a wake up call to the United States. More so than 9/11. In two weeks we will return to our little world for consumption, booze, sex, and whatever else ignorant Americans do with there time. Until the next time somthing tragic happens, and everyone will wonder, how could this happen?
